Self Advocate Network (SAN)

PEAC is not currently accepting applications for the SAN and no trainings are scheduled.

Pennsylvania’s Education for All Coalition helps Self Advocates understand their educational rights, helps parents and schools collaborate with each other, and provides individual support and resources. We provide these services through a group of informed and supported Self Advocates known as the Self Advocate Network or SAN. PEAC and the SAN are supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council.
Self Advocates are:
  • Individuals who receive or may have received special education services.
  • committed to inclusive education for ALL children.
  • emerging leaders in their local communities.
  • trained for free by PEAC.
  • paid for their service.
