Pennsylvania’s Education for All Coalition (PEAC) announces the

The Patricia J. Creegan Award For Excellence in Inclusive Education 2026 Award for a PK-12 Educator

To encourage the continuation of Patricia Creegan’s work, PEAC presents the Patricia J. Creegan Award to an education professional (teacher, professor, administrator, related service personnel, etc.) who demonstrates outstanding performance in the field of, and commitment to, inclusive education. For 2026, the award will be presented to a K-12 faculty member, administrator, or staff member.

The winner of the Patricia J. Creegan Award receives a certificate, an honorarium, and the winner’s name will also be inscribed on the Patricia J. Creegan Award plaque.

Nomination Package

Please submit all the following for consideration for the Patricia J. Creegan Award:

• • * A letter of nomination written by the individual(s) nominating the candidate that addresses each of the criteria previously stated.

    * The nominee’s resume/vita, and

    * At least one testimonial and/or letter of recommendation from a family member of an individual with a disability, a student with a disability, and/or a colleague who works with the nominee.

Timeline

The schedule for submitting and reviewing nominations is as follows:

September 14, 2026: Nomination packets due to be emailed to PEAC. Electronic submissions only. Email: Mary Mikus, Search Chair, info@paedforall.org

September 21, 2026: The Patricia J. Creegan Award Committee begins its review of the applications.

October 16, 2026: The awardee is informed.

November 7, 2026: The Patricia J. Creegan Award is presented to the awardee at PEAC’s annual Inclusion Conference in partnership with West Chester University’s College of Education & Social Work at West Chester University, Sykes Student Union, 700 S High St, West Chester, PA 19382.
